GET OUT THERE AND CREATE SOMETING!
YOUR MUSE AWAITS...

The MUSE Program challenges KHS students to choose a “Mighty Deed” and finish the project before graduation.

WHAT IS A MIGHTY DEED?
  1. Identify a compelling project that is daunting, yet achievable. It should somehow relate to your personal interests and require greater knowledge and ability than you currently have. (You will learn as you go.)
  2. This challenge should not be asked, expected or required of you. It’s okay to work in a group as long as all parties are equally committed. (Don’t be afraid to ask for direction  from mentors and teachers.)
  3. Commit yourself to the project by taking the first step. Take time away from less important activities to work on it every day. Talk to friends and family about your project. Find the motivation and determination to finish what you start.
  4. The final result of your project should be some sort of tangible or shareable product that people can use, experience, look at, read, listen to, watch, purchase, or enjoy. (If you’re not interested in sharing your project publicly, that’s okay too.)
  5. Stay eligible to maintain access to school resources. Finish your project by graduation to be included on the roster and have your project displayed in the trophy case and on this website.

This is the perfect time in your life to do a project like this. You have time on your hands. The tools, technology and information are highly accessible. You’re surrounded by teachers and mentors who want to see you succeed.
